Hii!
Happy Australia day to all those Australians out there who love excuses for days off work, celebrating the things that make our country great, Vegemite, for example.
I got my haircut yesterday, you know those hair cuts where you come out and you think, "If only I'd asked for just a trim?" it was one of those. It looks horrible when down so I've had it up since yesterday afternoon but that doesn't look much better, I'm dreading going to school on Tuesday.
There's another thing I love about Australia. We're so lazy that we think, "Oh, Australia Day is on a Saturday, let's make the public holiday on Monday so we don't have to go to work!"
I went to my friend's birthday party yesterday, we had heaps of fun, accidentally broke a plastic chair, dipped anything we could find in chocolate sauce and got eaten alive by mosquitoes. I had a great time. I wore (not that this is of any importance to anything) black tights with black ballet flats, pearls and a gray dress I bought the day before on sale.
Sweeny Todd is so my favourite movie now, I want to marry it, have it's children then cheat on it with it. I really thought it was a great movie. We had a little bit of trouble getting into it, its rated MA 15+ in Aus so me being fourteen couldn't get in, plus a friend of mine forgot her ID card so they wouldn't let her in either. Thankfully, this lady behind us in the queue offered to take us in with her. So lady, if you're reading this, thanks again, you made my day.
I can't wait for the new series of Doctor Who. Yes, I am a Sci-Fi nerd and I also happen to think David Tennant is really hot and therefore a good reason to stare blankly at the tv screen for a hour.
I've started knitting a scarf because I ran out of wool for the hat I was knitting, I'm slowly getting better at it too!
Well I've taken up enough of your time, will post later though.
In all of her Doctor Who loving glory,
Gemma

Hiii! I'm Gemma!!!
Okay, just a few things...
I wonder how many people have made accounts on blogspot solely to comment on Pete Wentz's, Of course, I have nothing against him, he's awesome, its just an observation (I did, but not to comment on his, though i may do that later). This is my first blog entry because its holidays and I have nothing to do at the moment. I'm going to see Sweeny Todd at the movies tomorrow though, it hasn't come out yet here so I've been waiting for ages.
I'm thinking maybe I should put a picture up...
Okay, I've just spent the last five minutes looking for my family's digital camera only to discover that the set of draws in which they are normally placed are missing grr. I hate misplacing things yet do it very often.
I've got some more clothing designs! mostly t-shirts like I normally do but also dresses, I have about five dresses! when I get some time, I'll scan them and post them on here.
I just found out about the death of Heath Ledger, he was an amazing actor and he will be in my prayers, I hope that people do not go saying things about him because he cant defend himself. If I ever see someone doing that, they will lose any respect they might have had the prospect of gaining from me.
I need some new clothes, I own one pair of jeans that are all tattered and torn and a few t-shirts, the other day I asked my parents for a dress to wear to a friend's birthday party and they went on this huge rant about paying for it myself. Yeah okay, that wouldn't be a problem were it not for the fact that I don't have a job nor do I have any other form of income. So yeah, if anyone's willing to give me a job that pays well and its something fun... yeah contact me!
I have the coolest toy at the moment! I don't eat cereal but I always end up getting the prize because no one else wants it. Usually I throw it away but this one is still sitting on my computer desk unsure of its fate. It looks like a really old mobile phone but it has a button on it that magnifies all the sound around it. Yes, Kellogg's have provided children all around Australia and possibly New Zealand with eavesdropping devices.
I don't want to go back to school, It means choosing a career. In the lovely grade year 10, Australian children have to do work experience, where they go into the workforce for a week. I however, do not want to do this. They're expecting us to choose our careers by the age of fifteen which frankly is incredibly stupid. I do actually know several things I'd like to pursue though each one has been crushed when I told my parents about them, "you'll never make it as that" Is there most common reply. What ever happened to "You can be what ever you want to be."
I actually want to do two things as my goals in life. I would like to create a music festival dedicated to raising awareness of teenage depression, adults don't seem to grasp the fact that you don't have to be labeled as "emo" to be depressed, hell, many children who claim to be emo are not suicidal or depressed. Emo is a style of music and a style of clothing to me, nothing more.
The other thing I want to do is create a clothing label, I mentioned earlier about my designs and it would probably be my dream career since those evil little seventh graders back in 2005 crushed any hope i had of being a singer.
Anyhow, I think I've made this long enough, It'd be nice to know if anyone will actually read this. I might comment on something on Pete's page and see if he comments back.
okay, Seeya!
